It is essential to know whether your tank is 100% leak-tight. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has established guidelines under 40 CFR Title 280 for validating leak detection testing methods for fuel tanks and piping. The purpose of leak detection testing is to minimize the environmental impact of underground hydrocarbon leaks.
ARPEC has been performing leak detection tests since 2006, using a high-tech system called Alert Techno.
- Detects leaks as small as 0.1 gal/hr, with a detection probability greater than 95% and a false alarm rate of less than 5%.
- Tanks of up to 113,000 liters can be tested in 2 hours.
- Reduced temperature influence on test results.
- Test results are calculated by the software.
- Tamper-proof record of test results in both phases.

- No fuel transfer or additional trucks are required to store the fuel while the cleaning is being performed.

- Cleaning takes between 2 and 4 hours per tank, depending on the level of fuel contamination.
- The system ensures environmental protection by using filtration systems that retain dirt particles and bacteria while separating water.

Pruebas Hermeticidad
Es muy importante saber si su tanque es 100% hermetico. La EPA (Agencia de Protección Ambiental de EEUU) tiene establecidos los lineamientos en el CFR 40 título 280 para validar los métodos de pruebas de hermeticidad en tanques y cañerías de combustible. El objetivo de las pruebas de hermeticidad es minimizar el impacto ambiental por derrame subterráneo de hidrocarburo.
Arpec realiza pruebas de hermeticidad desde el año 2006 a la fecha, utilizando un sistema de alta tecnología llamado Alert Techno.
- Detecta pérdidas de 0.1 gal/hr con posibilidad de detección mayor al 95% y un porcentaje de falsa alarma menor a 5%
- Se pueden probar tanques de hasta 113,000 litros en 2 horas
- Menor influencia de la temperatura en el resultado
- El resultado de la prueba es calculado por el software
- Registro inviolable de los resultados de las pruebas en ambas fases.

Esto se aplica a surtidores en estado de deterioro, surtidores chocados, surtidores que necesitan una ‘lavada de cara’ incluyendo pintura y graficas, etc.
